The Town of South Bruce Peninsula and the Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry have lifted the Restricted Fire Zone Order that had impacted the area.

It was issued back on June 9th.

The release from South Bruce Peninsula Fire Chief Tim Wilson advises while ground vegetation remains seasonally dry, those setting recreational campfires should remain aware of the sate of the property, ready a means of extinguishing it nearby, and ensure it is completely out when they are finished.

Non-recreational open-air burn permits will continue to remain suspended at this time.
