Southampton Rotary has received a major donation of $20,000 from Tuggy’s Gas & Variety which followed another recent $10,000 donation from Roote’s Gas Bar and Top Shelf.
The donations has helped the rotary reach their $85,000 goal for an inclusive playground in partnership at GC Huston Public School.
The campaign which kicked off in September has already reached its goal with the support of the community.
While the rotary club celebrates its achievement, fundraising is still open to enhance the proposed playground with additional features and accessibility.
It’s expected construction will start in the summer and be ready once the school year starts up next September.
