Special Olympics Kincardine curlers are moving onto the next round, after finishing second at the Southwest tankard playdowns in Gravenhurst over the weekend.
Despite having only three practices leading up to the event, the team of Ryan Brodhagen, Chris Weese, Jackie McDonald, Jessica Belyea and Richard Wright performed well enough to finish runner-up in the A division.
The strong showing means the team moves on to the Southwest Tankard Qualifier in Barrie in a few weeks. The team is coached by Jim and Bev McDonald.
This all leads up to the finals which will take place at the Provincial Tankard in Port Elgin in January 2023.
