Huron County is opening its enrollment period for its Starter Company Plus program as of July 1st.
The program provides business training, coaching, mentorship and a chance to be awarded a grant of up to $5,000 for eligible participants to start, expand or buy a small business.
In order to take part applicants must do a brief interview with successful candidates notified of their acceptance into the program by mid-August.
In order to secure the micro-grant funding, there must be a business plan developed, including cash-flow projections, SWOT analysis and delivering a 10-minute pitch .
There is a info session on Wednesday, July 12th at 6:30 pm at the Goderich Library to provide an overview of the program, eligibility, timelines and next steps.
