The Province confirmed last night that schools would return to in-class learning as of Monday, January 17th despite a lack of details on what exactly has changed in classroom safety than what was in place prior to the holiday break.

The Education Minister Stephen Lecce is expected to hold a press conference tomorrow at 1:30pm to setup details on the preparations that they say are underway for the return to in-person learning.

Minister Lecce will be joined by the Chief Medical Officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore.

In a press conference today Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said that the delay in returning to the classroom has given them extra time in order to be able to have teachers able to get their second doses and boosters, receive additional rapid tests from the federal government and also receive millions more masks including the N95’s that are going into schools for teachers and 3-ply masks for students.
