Bruce County announced the successful launch of 5 new student-run businesses powered by the Summer Company program.
It offers aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 to 29, a chance to kickstart and operate their own summer business with a $3,000 microgrant, comprehensive business training and invaluable mentorship.
The five businesses are:
- DoggyDate by Benjamin Brewer in Point Clark
- Fox Turcotte with FoxTales Productions in Port Elgin
- Sab Shinwari with Walkerton Auto Detailing
- Teghan Kauk with Kauk Pressure Washing in Walkerton
- Carter Snobelin with Huron Hydroblast in Ripley
The Summer Company program is primarily funded by the Province, under the mentorship of Bruce County Economic Development.
