One person has been arrested after a home invasion and vehicle theft in Bluewater.
On March 18th, Huron County OPP were notified by Lambton OPP of a threat investigation involving a man driving a minivan towards the county on Bluewater Highway.
Offciers converged to the Bayfield area where the suspect vehicle was found abandoned.
Police learned the suspect forced entry into a home, demanding car keys from the homeowner with the suspect then fleeing and managing to evade officers.
The suspect was monitored by OPP helicopter and just before noon officer located the suspect vehicle was traveling southbound in Central Huron when the vehicle came to stop and the suspect trying to flee on foot but was arrested.
The suspect who lives in Essex County will be facing numerous charges from multiple police agencies.
