Suspicious Person Call Leads to Resisting Arrest Charge for Goderich Man

While Speaking with Suspect it was Discovered he was wanted on Outstanding Warrant

Huron County OPP have charged a Goderich resident with resisting arrest after he tried to run away from officers who were attempting to make an arrest.

On December 11th, officers were responding to a call for a suspicious person at a Gibbons Street property in Goderich just after 9pm.

The suspect was located and while speaking with them it was found out that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

While attempting the arrest, the accused took off.

Officers gave chase and he was apprehended a short distance away.

While the arrest was attempted, the accused struggled and resisted arrest.

A 23 year old man has been charged with resisting arrest.

He was released from custody with a January 10th date in a Goderich court to answer to the charge.
