Tickets to next February’s Port Elgin Chrysler Tankard is being suspended for the time being.

Spokesman Dave Middleton says the recent announcement of capacity restrictions by the Province is the reason for the move.

He says the decision was made after an emergency meeting by the steering committee.

Middleton says there were two more teams added as a result of Sunday’s CurlOn Cashspiel in Collingwood.

Dylan Niepage of Guelph and Scott Mitchell of Whitby are in the field joining defending champion John Epping, former champ Glenn Howard, and Port Elgin superspiel champ Pat Ferris.

The 2022 Port Elgin Chrysler Tankard Ontario Men’s Curling Championship will take place at the Plex in Port Elgin February 9th to the 13th.
