The Grey Bruce Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is aiming to keep making an impact for the community with free tax preparation services for low income individuals.
A new report working in collaboration with various local groups and organizations highlights the program’s success.
Titled “Reducing Poverty Through Volunteers” and shows the program being just more than a tax prep service.
During the groups annual gathering, the Bruce County Public Library, South East Grey Community Health Centre and The Meeting Place Tobermory reported a combined $3,275,673 in benefits and refunds for households in the 2023 tax season.
