Teeswater is closer to bringing a medical clinic to the community after a donation from Bruce Power pushed them over their $2 million fundraising goal.

The Teeswater Medical Centre Building Committee is looking to raise $2.6 million in order to bring a modern, fully accessible clinic to the area. Bruce Power provided them with a $100,000 contribution toward that goal earlier this week.

The committee is aiming to begin renovations to the existing doctors’ office along Clinton Street this spring, with a target completion of December 2023. The committee says they are actively participating in the recruitment of health care professionals, as they look to offer a physician, pharmacy, and other health care options at the facility.
