This past Saturday, after two years of virtual relays, the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life has returned. The Stratford Relay for Life was held at the Stratford Intermediate School Starting at 5:30pm.
Listowel Residents also took part under their own branch of fundraising. Over 120 participants along with 20 teams were registered.
Participants took part from Stratford, St. Mary’s, Mitchell, Listowel, Goderich, Clinton, Seaforth, and other surrounding areas.
The event was able to raise over $69,000. Julia Wilkinson, who helped spearhead the event had stated that the team out of Listowel was led by Tyler Schaefer and had already seen a smashing number prior to Saturday as they finished top of the fundraising team.
