Today is the deadline for nominations for the upcoming Afro Caribbean Culture Awards set to take place on Saturday, October 21st.
The awards recognize and celebrate Afro Caribbean youth living in Grey and Bruce Counties. If you know a Afro Caribbean youth between the ages of 5 to 25 you can nominate them online at the Municipality of Kincardine website or request a paper copy of the form.

The ceremony next month will feature recognized poet Dwayne Morgan, a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion.
The topic of his keynote will be “Inspiring Courageous Conversations”. Registration to attend the event is open now.
All are welcome to come celebrate and enjoy good fellowship with one another at the Davidson Centre on October 21st.
The deadline to register to attend is October 15th.
