The Town of Saugeen Shores broke ground on Thursday for the construction of its new Innovation Park.
The site is being set up to attract clean energy businesses by capitalizing on the area’s existing knowledge base.
The site along Concession 6, south of Port Elgin, will feature 17 lots spread over 23 acres of employment land.
The Town is reaching out to new & existing businesses at the hear of the clean energy industry – nuclear, hydrogen and solar, as well as the tech and research to go with it.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says through this investment Saugeen Shores is taking a major step to seize their potential as a hub for innovative business in the region.
