The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced that in consideration of the Blizzard and current whiteout conditions, and the snowplows being removed from service that the Fire Department responses by the Township are until further notice on limited service.
The status means a variation of service significantly different from the norm as a result of extenuating circumstances.
These include insufficient volunteer firefighters to safely carry out delivery of protection services, environmental factors, remote properties, impeded access or extraordinary hazards or unsafe conditions.
The Township says they will continue to make every reasonable attempt to respond to emergencies that are deemed a serious threat to life.
