Traffic Complain Leads to Impaired Charge in Georgian Bluffs

A 37 year old male of Saugeen Shores was charged with operation while impaired and plate not authorized for vehicle

On October 21, 2021 at approximately 9:30pm, Grey Bruce OPP responded to a traffic complaint concerning a possible impaired driver on Neerhof Lane in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Police located the motor vehicle in question and spoke with the driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Grey Bruce OPP detatchment, where further tests were admiistered.

Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 37 year old male from Saugeen Shores with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired with blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus
  • Using a plate not authorized for the vehicle

The accused was released and must attend an Owen Sound Court on December 2, 2021.

The accused’s drivers license was automatically suspended for 30 days and the vehicle towed and impounded for 7 days.
