Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 40-year-old male of Georgian Bluffs after they were involved in a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.
Police stopped the passenger vehicle on Highway 6 just before 2 pm after their plate recognition system indicated the driver’s license was suspended.
While speaking to the driver officers determined they were displaying signs of impairment.
They were taken to the Grey Bruce OPP Detachment where it was determined they were impaired by drug.
They are subsequently facing charges of operation while impaired, possession of a schedule 1 substance, driving while suspended, without insurance and driving with an unsealed container of alcohol.
