Work continues on tree harvesting in the Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area.
Crews began work on the west side of the river last Wednesday and that is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
During the work, the west side will be closed to the public while the east side will remain open during daylight hours.
Then next Tuesday, the east side, including the Nature Centre, will close to remove dead trees and plant new ones there.
In a news release posted on their website, the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority says the work will help keep the property safe for visitors and the woodlots healthy.
There is no word on when the east side of the area will be reopened.
