The Kincardine Kinucks Under-13, League Level 2 team are about to make their national television debut.
A crew from Sportsnet were in Kincardine this past Saturday to tape introductions of the team for next Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.
It was a fun atmosphere at the Davidson Centre and Coach Bob Richards says it will show Canada what Kincardine is made of.
The taping was a prize for the team winning the early bird contest in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.
Richards says some people don’t have the same privileges as these kids do and getting them to do the little things can go a long way.

The Kinucks were entered into the Good Deeds Cup contest after submitting a video showing them help collect hockey gear for Indigenous youth living in northern communities.
They will now compete with other entries from across Canada for the grand prize of $100,000 towards the charity of choice of the winning entry.
The Kinucks are pledging to donate their winnings to the First Assist out of Ottawa run by former NHL player John Chabot who is also an Anishinabeg Algonquin from Kitigan Zibi First Nation.
Chabot works with Northern Indigenous Communities to provide on-site education and sports integration programs to enhance the mental, emotional and physical well-being of youth in indigenous communities across Canada.
