Two charged after gunshots heard on Saugeen First Nation

Two men are facing numerous weapons charges after reports of gunshots in Saugeen First Nation on Tuesday.

Grey Bruce OPP responded to a wooded area off Hwy 21 around 11 a.m. yesterday after reports of residents hearing shots.

Just after 1 a.m., the following morning, officers located the involved individuals and took them into custody.

Police have charged a 30-year-old of Saugeen First Nation and a 28-year-old of no fixed address with a slew of offences including possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order.

Both accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing in Owen Sound today.
