Youth in northern portions of Huron County will be able to have access to a big brother or big sister.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Kincardine and District recently expanded their coverage area to include South Bruce, Brockton, and North Huron.

Executive Director Yolanda Reitsma says they have partnered with Brookside Elementary in Lucknow, and Maitland River Elementary in Wingham to begin their in-school mentoring program there.

Reitsma says they had help from United Way Perth Huron in establishing their program.

She hopes with more funding, they will be able to help more youth in Huron County.
