Hanover Police are investigating a theft after a pair of men made off with a woman’s debit car in a the local Wal-Mart parking lot.
The men distracted the woman by claiming she had an oil leak under her car and when she looked underneath, one of the suspects stole her card from her purse.
According to police, tap purchases have since been made in Hanover, Mississauga and Toronto.
They warn the public to be on the lookout for similar scams and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
