The U13 Kincardine Cardinals Minor Baseball Team was honoured in council on Wednesday for winning the Ontario Baseball Association B provincial championship.
Mayor Kenneth Craig welcomed each player and coach, giving plaques and acknowledging their achievement.
Craig says the team all grew and developed as players and people, showed commitment, great work ethic, determination, resilience and a drive to get better.
The Cardinals had a 31-5 this season winning two A tournaments in Kincardine and Saugeen Shores.
