Employment numbers are out for September and they show that the unemployment rate for the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula decreased 0.3 percent last month to 4.2%
The figures from the Four County Labour Market Planning Board also indicate the provincial rate increased slightly during the same period 0.1 percent to 6.4% both unadjusted for seasonality.
The gain of 600 full-time jobs were offset by 1,400 part-time losses.
Most of the losses were seen in the service-producing sector, followed by IT, culture and recreation.
Business, building & support services experienced the greatest gains followed transportation and warehousing, professional, scientific and technical services.
