While grocery prices continue to rise, United Way of Bruce Grey is continuing to provide the Grey Bruce Good Food Box which stands as a resource in the fight against food insecurity and inflation.
The Good Food Box program is a volunteer powered, community driven initiative designed to provide fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables at a fraction of grocery store prices at $22 per box.
Executive Director of United Way of Bruce Grey, Francesca Dobbyn says every week more families are telling them they’re making tough choices between paying for rent or buying groceries.
Residents are able to place orders through participating community partners including local libraries, health units and family support centres with boxes available monthly.
