The Municipality of Kincardine is not making vaccinations mandatory for their staff.

However, changes to the Municipality’s COVID-19 vaccination policy will require unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals to be tested regularly for COVID-19 if they can’t provide either proof of vaccination or medical exemption.

Anyone who is not fully vaccinated will also be subject to vaccine education.

Council gave final approval of the revised policy at Monday’s meeting.

The revised policy will also see arrangements made to municipal workers who wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a news release, the Municipality says it values the health and safety of every individual, and urges employees to make an informed decision on whether to get the vaccine.

The new measures will go into effect December 3rd.
