It appears someone’s concern about a child’s well-being prompted the call to police about a suspicious person in Crediton.
Huron County OPP received a call Wednesday afternoon about a vehicle driving up to the child who was by themselves waiting for a family member to pick them up after school.
Investigators were able to identify the vehicle and occupants.
They have determined that no ride was offered instead the occupants wanted to know if the child was OK.
Investigators have concluded it was a misunderstanding and that there was no malicious intent involved.
