Victim Services Huron unveiling Commemorative Benches around the County May 17th

The event on Wednesday, May 17th from 10 until noon at the Brussels Library will unveil benches destine for Brussels, Bluevale and Vanastra in honour of local victims.

Victim Services Huron is hosting a public unveiling of three commemorative benches in Brussels at the Library in honour of local Homicide Victims.

The event on Wednesday, May 17th from 10 until noon will unveil a bench destine for Bluevale in honour of Doug & Marian Fischer who passed away on March 29th, 2018.

The second will be in Vanastra at Lions Park in honour of Laura Wigelsworth, who passed away on May 10th, 2018.

The third bench will be in Brussels at the location of the pubic unveiling and it will honour Beverly Stevenson and Darwin Ducharm, who passed away on March 29th, 2022.

The project was funded with assistance from the Canadian Justice Department and the National Victims and Survivors of Crime Week grant.
