The Walkerton Fire Department announced the retirement of Firefighter Jeff Kieffer after 21 years of service.
It was 24/7 of getting up at 2 am to respond to calls and then going straight to work without sleep.
The Department says Jeff had a huge impact on their department’s ability to respond to emergencies in the rural community and he was a mentor to others.
His service has impacted his dinners, family events and valued time with his wife.
They thank his wife Kathy, who has always supported his commitment to the fire department.
Its’ tough to let go of something you are passionate about but they congratulate Jeff on his service to the community of Brockton.
