A Walkerton resident is out $1100 after being the victim of a crypto scam.
On March 18th South Bruce OPP were called to an address in Brockton.
Investigation found the victim was trying to invest in cryptocurrency from an online agency with the victim giving access of their devices to a scammer resulting in a loss of $1100.
Residents continue to be urged caution when dealing with digital currency transactions and investments.
Scammers will often use documents marked with logos and wording which can come off as real and lead victims down a path to give their personal and banking information over.
