Weapons Incident Leads to Charges in Paisley

A 53 year old man is facing charges after pointed a firearm at another person.

On November 27th at around 9:56pm, South Bruce OPP were called to a home in Paisley.

It was alleged an altercation took place between two people known to each other with a firearm being brandished.

The victim fled the area who then called police. Officers arrived where the suspect surrendered to police with a search warrant at the home done the following day finding several firearms and ammunition.

The 53 year old of of Arran-Elderslie was charged with Pointing a Firearm, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

The accused will appear in court next month.
