West Grey Police Responding to Election Sign Damage

West Grey Police have received a series of reports of election campaign signs being removed, damaged or tampered with across the area.

Police say willfully damaging or destroying signs can result in charges and while the police do have rules governing where signs can be posted, it doesn’t make them public property.

West Grey Police add if you believe a campaign sing has been improperly placed to report the concern and not remove, damage or deface it.
