West Grey Police are warning businesses of a recent string of counterfeit bills making their rounds in the community.
Police say businesses need to take measures to spot the fake bills which includes to feel the texture as real bills are printed on polymer and feel smooth, to check the transparent window, look for any raised ink and to tilt the bill as the holographic elements should shift and change.
If you suspect a bill to be counterfeit to not return the bill to the individual, not confront the person, note descriptions if possible and contact police.
