Staffing shortages have forced another emergency department closure in Wingham this Saturday night.
The Wingham and District Hospital’s emergency department will close at 9 p.m. on Dec. 10 and reopen at 7 a.m. on Dec. 11.
Emergency medical services will remain available and will re-route to the nearest hospital.
The nearest hospitals include Listowel, Kincardine and Walkerton.
The hospital reminds residents this is a temporary measure and thanks them for their patience.
