The owner of Buck & Jo’s who was convicted in court earlier this year returned back to present evidence in an appeal of his conviction.

Stephen Hill and Buck and Jo’s Restaurant was convicted in February on one count of failure to comply with the Health Protection Act and one count of Failure to Produce a Safety Act and one count of Failure to Comply with Getting Proof of Vaccination from Patrons back in November 2021.

Hill while in court on December 6th says the Huron-Perth Public Health officers who testified in court were not truthful and had conflicting testimonies.

Hill says the officers testified the restaurant was open on November 12th when he says they were closed, only open for two hours to meet with the officers.

Nothing was reached in court with the appeal hearing adjourned to January 15th to set another date to hear from public healths lawyer and his arguments.
