With the help of the community, the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation has been able to provide $2.3 million in support to the hospital for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
This funding will arm the hospital with vital medical tools including a new CT scanner which was the focus of the Caring Together Campaign.
On top of the CT scanner, donour support has brought in a new ultrasound machine, vital sign monitors, a hematology analyzer and upgraded inpatient beds.
Executive Director Nicole Duquette-Jutzi says the donours are ensuring quality care is available close to home and supporting the foundation helps care for every patient who walks through their doors.
