Grey-Bruce Public Health has issued an overdose alert after six suspected drug overdoses over a six day period.
An individual in their 40’s died on Tuesday from a suspected opioid related overdose with another person in their 20’s also dying from an opioid related overdose.
Four non fatal overdoses were reported between February 1st-6th.
Five of overdoes, including both of the ones being fatal occurred in Owen Sound with one non fatal being in Georgian Bluffs.
Grey Bruce Public Health says its important to take harm reduction recommendations including taking extra caution if mixing drugs, go slow and only use new supplies and avoid sharing supplies.
