An investment from Ontario Health will provide 24/7 mental health and addiction support through the Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce at the 14th Street Transitional Supportive Housing site.
The property in Owen Sound was purchased and renovated by Grey County in 2022 and includes 12 apartment units and transitional housing support for those with mental health or substance use issues who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Ontario Health is funding $853,600 to support a contingent of full time employees dedicated to offering wraparound mental health and addictions services at the transitional housing facility.
