The Community Foundation of Grey-Bruce has awarded $100,000 in grants to local charities towards housing and food initiatives.
A large portion of the funding is provided by the Eva Leflar Donor-Advised Endowment Fund which supports well being of youth in Grey Bruce.
The end of year grant brings the total of grants issued by the foundation this year to $865,000.
Executive Director of the Community Foundation, Stuart Reid says these grants are substantial and strategic with this year seeing more people needing access to the local food banks while the rising cost of housing is a huge challenge faced by local families.
