3 People Charged Following Assault in Chatsworth

Grey Bruce OPP have charged three people following an assault in Chatsworth.

On May 2nd just before 9am Grey Bruce OPP received a report of an assault which occurred on John Street.

Police learned three suspects left the home in a vehicle with the victim sustaining minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle was later spotted just before 10am with all three occupants being arrested.

A 41 year old man of no fixed address was charged with;

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Aggravated assault
  • Imitation firearm – use while committing offence
  • Possession break in instruments
  • Discharge air gun or pistol with intent
  • Break and enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

A 46-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with;

  • Aggravated assault
  • Discharge air gun or pistol with intent
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • I mitation firearm – use while committing offence
  • Possession break in instruments
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon (two counts)
  • Disguise with intent
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (three counts)

A 34-year-old Woman of West Grey was charged with;

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Aggravated assault
  • Imitation firearm – use while committing offence
  • Possession break in instruments
  • Discharge air gun or pistol with intent
  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

All were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
