Bruce County Housing Corporation has purchased a site in Walkerton to be used for a new 40 unit development for apartments.
BCHC Chief Executive Officer and Bruce County’s Director of Human Services, Tina Metcalfe says this development will blend affordable and market rate housing in a way which is both financially sustainable and socially inclusive.
“We are deeply grateful to the Municipality of Brockton for their generous contribution of
land at a nominal cost,” said Bruce County Warden Luke Charbonneau.
“It is reflective of their strong commitment to building affordable housing in our County.”
This acquisition marked a milestone in the Bruce County Housing Corporation’s commitment to expanding community housing options.
