The 50th Anniversary event for the Davidson Centre is approaching this month and will be complete with an alumni matchup between the Kincardine Bulldogs and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Construction of the facility started in 1975 with the first event held in November the same year and a grand opening in July of 1976.

The anniversary will also feature live music after the game.

Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig says its been the work of council, staff and the community both past and present which has gotten to this anniversary.

“They invested time and money and we know recreation facilities are not cheap to build anymore, it’s an enormous expensive for a small community. Our council and staff are investing time and money to make sure both the Davidson Centre and Tiverton Sports Centre will have long long lives.” said Craig.

Tickets remain available for the alumni match on September 20th with puck drop at 7. Tickets are $31 for general admission with $125 for the limited VIP.
