A 49 year old man has been arrested following a suspicious person call in Meaford.
On February 14th at around 1:38am, Grey Bruce OPP responded to the call around Russett Drive and Union Street.
A resident had reported someone had knocked on their door and left which at the time of day was suspicious.
A description of the individual was given to police and while on patrol the man was spotted driving a Toyota Highlander.
Police contacted the registered owner and found it had been stolen during the overnight hours.
Police initiated a traffic stop and charged with 49 year old of no fixed address with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
