Don’t expect to see the return of in-person public meetings in Saugeen Shores anytime soon.
A discussion was held by Council at their Committee of the Whole meeting (on August 9th).
Council and other public meetings were being conducted virtually since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020.
Despite new COVID-19 cases remaining low in Grey Bruce, Mayor Luke Charbonneau says it was better to err on the side of caution.
Charbonneau says he would prefer to see Council to return to in-person meetings.
But he says they will wait to see how case counts go will revisit the matter in October.
