Goderich native Brock Dykxhorn was named the Claude Pelletier award winner as top Canadian pitcher by the Canadian Baseball Network.
Dykxhorn currently pitches for the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
The Canadian Baseball Network Awards are given to the top minor and independent league pitchers and hitters.
Dykxhorn received 8 of 9 first-place votes to win the award.
He started in 26 games this past season posting a 17 and 4 record, with a 1.83 earned run average, striking out 157 batters in 181 and a third innings.
