Community Foundation Grey Bruce are establishing a scholarship in memory of a long-time Rogers community television producer.

Darlene Vanwyck passed away on January 3rd at the age of 43 after dealing with liver problems.

Former Owen Sound Mayor Ruth Lovell-Stanners knew Vanwyck from her time on city council.

She says the scholarship is a great way to honour the memory of her.

Anyone interested in applying for the Darlene Vanwyck Award in Media Studies scholarship or making a contribution to the endowment fund can contact Community Foundation Grey Bruce.

Darlene is survived by her husband Paul and their five children.
