Police in Grand Bend had to deal with a very unruly hotel guest.

Lambton County OPP were called to a hotel early Sunday morning around 5:30.

Officers arrived to find what they say was an aggressive male who became combative towards police and hotel staff.

Investigators say the situation escalated to a point where officers from OPP detachments in Huron County and Middlesex County, and Anishinabek Police Service from Kettle and Stoney Point First Nation were brought in to help.

A 59-year-old man from Huron East was arrested and taken into custody but not before he and an OPP officer were treated for injuries in hospital.

Charges include resisting arrest, uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death, and assaulting a peace officer.

The accused is now out and will make another court appearance February 28th.
