An offshoot local group of the Freedom Convoy that is currently occupying downtown Ottawa have announced plans for a local slow moving parade of vehicles this Saturday, February 5th.

Organized by a group calling themselves “Huron County Freedom Convoy” the group plans to start what they call their slow roll at 10 am in Kincardine and then proceeding to Goderich for noon to the Industrial Park where they expect to join up with supporters there before proceeding to Clinton at 2pm and Wingham at 3:30pm.

The poster for the event indicated that transport, trucks, cars and tractors may be present in the slow moving procession of vehicles.

Residents and motorists who will be in those areas during those times are likely to encounter delays in their commute due to the demonstration.

The Kincardine BIA issued an advisory to it’s members this morning alerting them of the possibility of protests. They also advised that anyone not following provincial laws, and who refuses to leave a businesses premises, should be referred to police for trespassing.
