It is not known how much longer until Huron Shores Hospice in Clinton is reopened.

The hospice issued a news release on Friday saying that their insurer has promised to cover the damaged caused by a sprinkler pipe burst on January 15th.

However, they say the insurer has not yet delivered a report about the damage or the scope of work to be done.

The hospice says work will soon get underway once they receive the report so they can begin soliciting quotes from contractors.

In the meantime, they say they are, with the support of the insurer, ordering paint and durable vinyl flooring that will be installed by skilled volunteers.

The hospice says they want to be ahead of any supply-chain issues and are taking full advantage of the hospice being closed to do any painting inside the residence.
