Four more businesses in Saugeen Shores are contributing to Phase Two of the Lamont Sports Park project.

The Cooperators – Jocelyn Robbins and Associates, Debbie Duplantis with RE/MAX Land Exchange Limited Brokerage in Port Elgin, Lakerange Service Centre, and Vanderwerf’s Your Independent Grocer will each be donating $10,000.

In a news release, co-chair of the Lamont Sports Park Illuminating Dreams Fundraising Campaign Rob Stanley says the four businesses stepped up to the plate without having to be asked to make the donation.

He says it really shows the generosity of the community and that the residents really care for each other.

Phase Two will see two diamonds built for youth baseball to go with the four that were constructed in Phase One.

A public viewing of the park and the launch of the public fundraising campaign is scheduled for June 4th.
